What the role is
A regional assurance post in the Quality Management Unit of UNFPA’s Arab States Regional Office in Cairo. The specialist is the technical reference for two areas across the region’s offices: implementing-partner risk (assessments, due diligence, spot checks, audits and fraud monitoring under the HACT framework) and internal controls (segregation of duties, system access, anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering policies). The job is to give consistent guidance, check the quality of regional work, spot gaps and escalate serious weaknesses. It reports to the Chief of the Quality Management Unit.
Who can apply
No nationality restriction is stated. You need an advanced degree in public or business administration, risk management, audit or a related field and at least five years of relevant experience. Strong analysis, clear writing and presentation skills are expected. English is required; working Arabic is desirable, which gives Arabic speakers an edge. UN or field experience helps.
