What the role is
A national-staff post in the ICRC’s Baghdad delegation, working under the Health Coordinator. The job is part programme support, part liaison: keeping health programme documentation in order, coordinating with the Ministry of Health, acting as file holder for the health partnership between the Iraqi Red Crescent Society and the ICRC, organising meetings with health stakeholders, tracking the health situation, feeding into project proposals, and following medical logistics and budget spending. It also supports emergency response when needed.
Who can apply
The ICRC says the post is open to national candidates, so it is meant for Iraqi applicants. You need a medical degree with a public health speciality, a licence to practise in your country of residence, and at least five years of relevant experience, including work with humanitarian organisations and existing ties with local health authorities. Fluent Arabic and English are required; Kurdish helps. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
What you get
A 12-month fixed-term contract at level B2. The posting does not publish salary or allowances.
